Goddess of Growth

   This Goddess told me that She wanted to be adorned with beadwork, so I chose to do my own interpretation of a wildflower native to eastern Washington, the Prairie Camas. The Prairie Camas has historically been a very important member of our native wildflowers across the state of Washington, and so I chose to honor it with my Goddess as a thank you for all it has done, and the beauty it still shares with us.

   The Prairie Camas is also known by the name Eastern Camas, or Quamash. The Camas root was used as a food source by many tribes of the Pacific Northwest. It was traded for, and many families would travel great distances for it, some harvesting only from specific patches.

   As I know that I live on historically stolen land, I try to honor the Ancestors of the Spokane Tribe who were forced to give up the land which my home was built upon by giving offerings to the land and to the Ancestral Spirits.

   These acts of worship tie in to the ways in which I conduct my other spiritual acts. I work to honor the Earth in my gardening practices by choosing as many native and drought-resistant plants as I can. I especially look out for plants which are meant to feed birds and other pollinating species. Any work I conduct in my yard and gardens, such as planting and weeding, is an act of sovereignty for me. I routinely give offerings to my plants, the trees, and the birds, and all the physical labor I do is offered up to An Mórrígan as an act of service.

   Just like my commitment to my practice, my commitment to my work shines through in each piece I create for Liminal River Magic. This Goddess is made with care for all my customers. My commitment to quality and authenticity ensures that each item is a portal to enchantment.

   Please recognize that handmade items materials have variations that are part of the handcrafted process and charm. This Goddess would be a wonderful gift for anyone who is inspired by the divine feminine. She would be lovely on display a top an altar or tabletop, or hanging in a meditation room.
